‘He drew surreptitiously in pubs and bars, often holding the paper below the table level, drawing whilst taking an occasional sip of his drink.’
The artist’s first solo show at a public gallery, and one of Warrington Museum & Art Gallery’s most popular ever exhibitions. Around 70 works were shown, alongside artefacts from the artist’s personal collection and a recreation of his painting room. The exhibition ran from 23 Nov 2019 - 23 Feb 2020.
